Wednesday, August 12th - Office Opens for 2015-2016 School Year from 8 am - 1 pm

Friday, August 14th - Class lists for grades K-6 posted in window after 4 pm

Thursday, August 20th - First Day of School for All Grades & First Day of School Celebration for 1st thru 6th grades (8-9:30 am). 7th & 8th graders will get their schedules on Aug. 20th only if they have their Tdap Booster Shot on file. No Tdap Booster, no schedule, no starting school.

 

What is the Raccoon Club?

Raccoon Club is the place for your child to be after school from the end of the school day to 6:00pm.  Your child will receive one on one tutoring and have an opportunity to socialize with fellow students.  Our  experienced staff will engage your child in fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, team building group games, and performing arts.  Raccoon Club is only $10.00 per day and all registration must take place at the North Highlands Recreation and Park District Office.
 
Want to save some money?  Raccoon does offer a monthly rate at $9.00 by paying for the entire month in advance.

Common Core Practice Test

Students in Grades 3 thru 8 will be taking the Smarter Balanced test for the first time starting at the end of April. The Smarter Balanced test is the new state test. If you would like to view and try the test, you may by clicking on the following link: Smarter Balance Practice Test  (if you have problems accessing the test, you may need to change your web browser). Follow the following steps:

1) Click "Sign In" (do not fill in any information)
2) Select "Grade Level"
3) Click "Yes"
4) Click on the test type you would like to take
5) Click "Select" (at the bottom)
6) Click "Yes, start my test" (at the bottom)
7) Click "Begin test now"

Notes: Do not fill in any other information than what is asked for above! You must respond to a question in order to go on. To exit the test - Click "Pause" (top right corner), click "yes", click "close secure browser" (top right)

Time Changes For The 15-16 School Year

Our schedule will be changing beginning in the 15-16 school year! We will be moving from a Late Start Wednesday to an Early Out Wednesday. Because of this, our daily release time will be 2:42 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and 12:42 pm on Wednesdays. Our start time will be 8:00 am every day.
